On the 7th of may 2016 we played our first show at KlubInn in Nørresundby, and the provocative artist Max Uwe was one of the bartenders at the club. We knew he was extreme. We like extreme. We were familiar with his extreme "shitty" art, but not with his shitty political opinions. So we agreed to let him, and his two colleagues, buy the last three of our t-shirts with Mogens Glistrup printed on the front. The t-shirt was obviously not to celebrate the racist politician Mogens Glistrup, but to print a t-shirt with a person that was, without a doubt, crazy beyond belief (roughly translated to "Grassat"). Max Uwe totally misunderstood that, and for some reason, thought we were a right-wing punk band. It couldn't be farther from the truth.
When we the day after realised that Max Uwe was not only extreme, but was also extremely right-wing (the first picture Google showed us was him wearing a swastika t-shirt). We were kind of embarrassed that we took a picture of us, Max Uwe, and his two colleagues after the show, but we didn't really care. When he wore our t-shirt in a xenophobic, ultra liberal, and truth-bending talkshow and he referred to our band as a band finally expression their right-wing viewpoints, we had enough. When we heard that he harassed girls around town, we had more than enough. We wrote this song to dissociate ourselves from him and to state that he has his right to use his freedom of speech, but you have no right to use us in your right-wing agenda. We do not fit that mold!
As always, we are really lazy, so we didn't record the song. When Max Uwe declared that he would run for the parliament for the most right-wing and fascist party in Europe, Stram Kurs, we decided to record this song and release it on election day. Everything is recorded in first take and it is pretty shitty. Just as Max Uwe's politics. Go vote! But not on Max Uwe and Stram Kurs
lyrics
Uwe Max træls
Satans skigehals
Ingen nedre grænse
Bare etniskudrense
Du strækker din arm
Og lufter din tarm
Du laver ikke kunst
Men slåser med lederen på Kunsten
Vi er ikke Max Uwe-core
Uwe Max flot
Grassat på din krop
Du kan få en lammer
Og en Hjørring-krammer
Du har din ytringsfrihed, ja
Men ingenting at sige
Muhammedtegningen
Det er ikke kunst – det er bare grimt
Vi er ikke Max Uwe-core
U' mæ Uwe
Jeg vil hellere gå sulten i seng
End at æde det lort du lukker ud
Vi er ikke Max Uwe-core
